The moretta is a historical Venetian women's mask from the 17th and 18th centuries.
Covered in black velvet and oval in shape, it was held in place by a small button between the teeth, preventing the wearer from speaking.
It was precisely this silence that made the moretta a mysterious, stylish instrument of seduction and at the same time granted anonymity in public.
